• NewGrange selected as design-build consultant for Chicago LEED Gold home in Lincoln Park. 2.1.11

NewGrange is hired as project leader and design-build consultant for Barrett Homes on their first LEED home project. The home is to be built in Lincoln Park on Melrose and Damen and the home is integrating a traditional high-end home with an advanced building envelope and interior technologies. We expect to achieve 30% energy savings, 30% water savings, on our monthly bills, and we will divert and recycle 90% of the construction material from the landfill.

• NewGrange awarded contract for Energy Retrofit of 176 Unit Apartment Building in northwest, Indiana. 1.17.11

NewGrange begins energy upgrade on 12 story 176 unit apartment building in northwest Indiana. NewGrange has been hired to provide window and door replacements and upgrade the mechanical equipment, improving building efficiency by an estimated 25% annually. All windows are being donated the rebuilding exchange of Chicago. In addition, NewGrange is replacing the ceiling tile throughout the building and is working with Armstrong ceiling tiles to recycle over 7,500lbs of ceiling tile to provide recycled content for Armstrong’s new ceiling tiles.

• NewGrange is selected as lead general contractor on design-build team for LEED Silver restaurant in Chicago. 12.12.10

Chicago Entrepreneur hires NewGrange to be the General contractor on the design-build team of a LEED silver restaurant on Belmont and Broadway. “Earth Food” will be an organic fast food restaurant and will provide customers with not only a healthy meal, but a healthy and pleasing environment to eat it in. Design is scheduled to complete in May 2011 with construction beginning in the summer of 2011 with completion in the Fall 2011.

• NewGrange recognized by 5/3rd bank as area’s premier 203K loan contractor. 11.31.10

After completing three 203K loan building renovation projects in 2010, 5/3rd bank recognize NewGrange Development as one of their preferred building contractors for their experience, knowledge, and professionalism in construction and remodeling.

• NewGrange wins award from the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) Illinois Chapter for Small, Affordable, Green Home. 5.31.10

NewGrange project leaders Sean Moran and Yuriy Chernets team up to design an award winning building for New Orleans Broadmoor neighborhood. The home boasts a healthy, efficient, and resourceful indoor environment, while having an extremely strong and durable building envelope. The home is equipped with a chairlift and is entirely ADA accessible and even includes a food garden right of the balcony. This home is small, green, and affordable and we would be proud to be build this for the resilient residents of New Orleans.
